Instabili Vaganti and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kraków, in collaboration with Villa Decius Institute for Culture, launches an open call for dancers, actors, performers of all genders and backgrounds to take part in a tuition-free 6-day advanced training and project working session in residence in Kraków, within the framework of the international project Beyond Borders.
This is a high-level professional training program combined with an intensive working session in residence dedicated to the development of the project, culminating in a final public performance on 23 May 2026.
PROJECT CONTEXT
Beyond Borders is an international multidisciplinary project conceived and directed by Instabili Vaganti, aimed at fostering intercultural dialogue, artistic co-creation and innovative performance processesintegrating physical theatre, choreography, voice research and digital media. Selected participants will officially become part of the Beyond Borders international artistic community, joining a global network of performers, directors, choreographers and cultural operators. Participants may be invited to take part in future stages of the project — including creative residencies, workshops, exchanges and co-productions in different countries.
WORK CONTENT
The residency will focus on the concept of “Border” — understood as geographical, political, social, cultural, gender-related, linguistic and inner boundary — exploring it as both separation and meeting point. The work process will include: Physical and vocal training (Instabili Vaganti methodology) Contemporary movement and choreographic composition Exploration of body–space–time dynamics Creation of physical scores and multilingual collective dramaturgy Development of performative material for the final public sharing The process will be intensive, collaborative and devised theatre–based.
